Pricing for Your usage of the Service is assessed on the basis of a Tehama Compute Unit (“TCU”), in accordance with the Room option, desktop option and support plan You select to build Your Subscription Plan. Contact [email protected] to obtain details on the cost of a TCU.

Your Subscription Plan will be composed of the Room option, any Room add-ons You select, the desktop option, the storage option and the support plan You selected on the Tehama Site. You are responsible for the selections as well as any changes that Your Administrator makes to the options in Your Subscription Plan.

Total Monthly Costs = Rooms + Desktops + Storage + Support

Use Cases:
A Desktop is for use by a single individual human user only and is not for shared use or for use for any automation use cases. Tehama reserves the right to monitor and audit Desktop usage and suspend any Desktops for non-compliant use.

Tehama Desktops & On-Demand Workspaces Desktops:

With these desktops, You pay a small fixed monthly fee per desktop to cover infrastructure costs and storage, and a low usage-based rate for desktop sessions during the month. Desktop sessions are billed in per-minute or per-hour increments, depending on the chosen desktop type.

Tehama Desktops are billed per minute of usage, and On-Demand Workspaces Desktops are billed per hour of usage.

Unlike the On-Demand Workspaces Desktops, Tehama Desktops have a “maximum monthly” rate, which means that once monthly usage of an individual desktop reaches a threshold of 60 hours of use within a month, the applicable Max Monthly rate will be charged in lieu of the base monthly fee and usage-based fees and additional usage of that desktop beyond the threshold will no longer increase the cost within that month.

Sample – Per-Minute vs. Per-Hour – When a user accesses a desktop, a session begins. They use the desktop for 45 minutes, and then end their session. For a desktop with per-minute billing, You will be billed for 45 minutes of usage. For a desktop with per-hour billing, You will be billed for 1 hour of usage.

Desktop Idle Timeout – Desktops have a default idle timeout set at 1 hour. The desktop session will end automatically after 1 hour of inactivity (keyboard/mouse activity) in a desktop session. This hour of inactivity is considered to be usage. The idle timeout setting of 1 hour can be adjusted on a Room by Room basis.

 

Proration

If a Tehama Desktop or an On-Demand Workspaces Desktop is created after the first of a month, the applicable base monthly fee for that Desktop will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis from the first day it was created to the end of that month and will apply even if that Desktop is terminated before the end of a month.

Sample calculation – When a Tehama Windows Entry Desktop is launched on the 10th day of May with a base monthly fee of 15 TCUs, You will be charged for the remaining 21 days. That means that there would be 21 days remaining out of 31 total days in the month which would result in a prorated cost of 10.16 TCUs for that Tehama Windows Entry Desktop – (31-10)/31*15=10.16

In addition to any pro-rated base monthly fee, the applicable usage-based fees will be charged provided, in the case of a Tehama Desktop, that usage of that Desktop in that month for 60 or more hours will result in the applicable Max Monthly fee being charged in lieu of the applicable base monthly fee and usage-based fees. For clarity, no monthly usage-based cap applies to an On-Demand Workspaces Desktop.

Always-On Workspaces Desktop:
With an Always-On Workspace Desktop, You pay a fixed monthly fee for unlimited usage during the month.

Proration

If an Always-On Workspace Desktop is created after the first of a month, the applicable fixed monthly fee for that Desktop will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis from the first day it was created to the end of that month.

Sample calculation – When an Always-On Standard Desktop is launched on the 10th day of May at a monthly rate of 46 TCUs, You will be charged for the remaining 21 days. That means that there would be 21 days remaining out of 31 total days in the month which would result in a prorated cost of 31.16 TCUs for that Always-On Standard Desktop – (31-10)/31*46=31.16

For clarity, if an Always-On Workspace Desktop is terminated before the end of a month, the applicable full monthly charge for any remaining days in that month will still apply.
